I have bought 2 additional units of WMA11b from a garage sale. I have limited linux experience though I have fiddled with eCOS on a XScale. I am hoping to add a color LCD which is ripped off a Nokia cellphone and use it as a interface instead of TV. This would require major changes to the firmware and I probably will be able to start on this sometimes on late Feb '06. I am looking to do it in one of 2 ways, either use the GPIO pins and add the LCD and some push buttons or rocker switch for the interface or leave the WMA11B board intact and use its serial port and build a small serial controller board which would have a 8/16 bit MCU doing the naigation stuff. This is all prelimnary, when I get it going, I will probably put up a blog for it. :-)

Cheers

Nice to see how ppl works for this product.
I also have the WMA11B but i dont have much experience with linux programming so it will be hard for me to edit the bootloader image.
But my question: is it possible to create a firmware that downloads a winamp pls with shoutcast streams from a http server, and play it on the wma 11b. Becouse the problem is, i dont have a TV at my room, so it is hard to start the right music. Also it would be a nice option to create a bootloader file that makes the WMA11B an Wireless Bridge adapter between your wireless and your LAN.

Heya,

I am keen on trying the WMAMP, sadly the WMA11B no longer connects to the host, the infamous "Waiting for Host" problem is back. This is the factory firmware, I have not done anything to it, nor done any replacements on the host pc. I am able to ping the lil fella and I see it gets the IP via DHCP from the router. For some strange reason, it cant seem to find the Media Adapter Utility (probably some UPnP screwup?). I read thru a few posts, but all of em talk about disabling the firewall or follow a particular boot order. I dont have a firewall (right now) on this PC and this is a Win 2000 with SP4. Secondly I have tried all sorts of boot order. Weather its wired or wireless, the WMA11B just does not seem to connect to the host application/utility, is there a fool proof way to get this going?

Cheers
